The North Carolina Natural Heritage Program:
- Answers information requests from business and industry, state and federal agencies, local government, and others.
- Provides geographic data layers as well as detailed reports.
- Provides information that is used for conservation planning.
- Provides information that facilitates ecologically sound development and infrastructure projects, such as pipeline corridors, roads, communication towers, and municipal utility projects.
